Classroom Construction Project

A large proportion of Sri Lankan children rely on free education provided by state schools. However, Ceylinco Life has identified that many schools in remote and underserved areas lack basic infrastructure and adequate facilities. In response, the Classroom Development Programme focuses on supporting underprivileged schools by providing essential infrastructure, particularly the construction of classrooms.

Through its extensive island-wide network, Ceylinco Life identifies schools requiring assistance and collaborates with branch staff, parents, and local community members to carry out classroom construction projects. The company closely monitors construction progress and releases funds upon the successful completion of each stage to ensure accountability and quality standards. In addition to construction, Ceylinco Life is also committed to the maintenance of previously built classrooms to ensure safe, functional, and conducive learning environments for students.

To date, Ceylinco Life has constructed 89 classrooms and continues to support beneficiary schools through maintenance, and follow-up assistance.
