Chartered Insurer Asoka Sirisena, Senior Assistant General Manager – Technical at Ceylinco Life, has been awarded Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Insurance of UK (FCII), universally regarded as the premier qualification for those working in the insurance industry.
The FCII status signifies that its holder has taken the commitment to professional development implied by Associate status (ACII) one stage further, demonstrating Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through a major achievement and planned acquisition of skills and knowledge.
Mr. Sirisena, who has been with Ceylinco Life for 10 years and counts 20 years of experience in the industry, has been an Associate of the CII since 2004 and was conferred Chartered Insurer status in 2008.

An old boy of Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala, Asoka Sirisena has an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University of India, has accumulated numerous qualifications in the field of insurance, including a Diploma in medical underwriting, and has undergone career-related training in Germany, London and Hong Kong. He currently serves as Assistant Secretary of the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute, the premier body promoting insurance education in Sri Lanka.
