Ceylinco Life, the country’s leading life insurer, has partnered with Ecole Internationale to develop an insurance policy that will enable the school’s students to continue their education in the event of the premature death or disablement of their parents.
The unique group life policy covers all students receiving their education at Ecole Internationale, and is offered at no cost to the parents, the company said.
Students are also entitled to a medical cover for injuries sustained during school hours under this policy.
“All parents wish that their children will receive a complete education without interruption,” said Mr R. Renganathan, Managing Director and CEO of Ceylinco Life. “This policy ensures that this will be accomplished, regardless of whether the parents are covered individually by life policies.”
The Managing Director of Ecole Internationale Mr Chandre Monerawela said: “We consider this tie up with Ceylinco Life a great privilege offered to the students receiving education at our school. We hope this initiative by the two institutions will result in one less worry for the parents at a time when pressures are mounting on many fronts.”
