Ceylinco Life has opened its latest branch at awell-known landmark in Mount Lavinia, to better serve customers in this busy suburb and the adjacent towns.
Located in a graceful traditional Sri Lankan residence purchased by the company, this branch at 615, Galle Road, Mount Lavinia will accommodate a team of 40 staff that will serve the life insurance needs of Dehiwela, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana and Attidiya, the company said.
Centrally located just beyond the Mount Lavinia intersection, the renovated building stands on 52.5 perches of land and offers customers adequate parking and multiple transaction counters in a restful ambience that contrasts with the bustle outside.
Speaking at the ceremonial opening of the new branch, Ceylinco Life Managing Director and CEO R. Renganathan stressed the importance of understanding the role of life insurance and purchasing life insurance from a stable company.
Ceylinco Life completed a decade as Sri Lanka’s life insurance market leader at the end of 2013, and now has a Life Fund of Rs 55 billion, he said, pointing out that the company has a range of flexible policies with recently revised medical plans to protect its policyholders.
As part of its strategy of investment in real estate, Ceylinco Life locates its branches in key areas on company-owned land. The company already owns the buildings housing its offices in Anuradhapura, Jaffna, Kalutara, Kurunegala, Gampaha, Matara, Galle, Tissamaharama, Negombo, Ratnapura and Kotahena and recently commenced construction of a new branch office on company-owned land at Bandarawela.
