-- Super-luxury cruise for five families & day trip to Leisure World for 600 families --

A sensational super-luxury ocean cruise, usually associated with the world's rich and famous, is on offer to five Sri Lankan families as the spectacular grand prize in the latest promotional extravaganza unveiled by Ceylinco Life as part of its continuing effort to drive penetration of life insurance in the local market.

Taking the company's now famous' 'Ceylinco Life Family Savari' series of promotions to unprecedented heights, the life insurance leader is also offering a full day’s outing at the Leisure World theme park to a staggering 600 families in the 2008 edition of the ‘Ceylinco Life Family Savari,’ which promises to be one of the largest community interactions by a corporate entity in this country to date.

Covering all existing policyholders as well as new policyholders who purchase life insurance between August 1 and December 31, 2008, the promotion is intended to generate greater awareness of and interest in life insurance in market segments as yet unprotected through insurance, reward existing policyholders for keeping their policies active and provide an incentive to others to revive and maintain their policies, the company said.

“The scale of this promotion, its reach in to even the remotest hamlets of our country, and the grandeur of the prizes have grown phenomenally over the years,” Ceylinco Life Chief Executive Director R. Renganathan said. "It is a massive undertaking to conceptualise, organise and conduct a full day’s outing for 2,400 people. The logistics alone are mind boggling."

In previous Ceylinco Life Family Savari events, Ceylinco Life provided all-expenses paid holidays for 258 people in Singapore, a day’s outing at Leisure World for 1,600 people.

A maximum of five winners from each Ceylinco Life branch will win family trips to Leisure World, ensuring that all districts of the country would be represented, the company said. A winning family may include the policyholder, spouse and two children. If the policyholder is unmarried, he or she can nominate three other immediate family members.

Sri Lanka’s most successful life insurer, Ceylinco Life also offers its policyholders multiple benefits such as ‘Pranama’ scholarships for policyholders' children, '65-plus' free medical cover, 'Aloka' educational grants for children of deceased policyholders, home loans and discounted medical check-ups. Ceylinco Life ended 2007 with premium income of Rs 6.8 billion, an increase of more than Rs 1.1 billion over the previous year.
